Malaysia Fertility Financial Aid

There are two options for financial aid in Malaysia, namely from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and
the Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation (TAFF).

EMPLOYEE PROVIDENT FUND (EPF) TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Under the EPF, Malaysian citizens are allowed to make one withdrawal from their Account 2 to help cover the expenses required for fertility treatments.

  • Malaysians & Non-Malaysians
  • Below 55 years old
  • Have savings in Account 2
  • Legally married couple
  • Medical costs are not fully covered by employer
  • Are not receiving alternative treatments
  • Fertility treatments which are allowed:
    • Fertility treatments that are allowed Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
    • In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
    • Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
*If the medical cost has been partially covered by the member’s/patient’s employer, you may only withdraw the remaining balance of the medical cost that was not covered.

TUNKU AZIZAH FERTILITY FOUNDATION (TAFF) TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Legally married couples
  • Malaysian
  • Woman’s age below 45 years old
  • Not a sperm or ovum donor
  • Household income not more than RM4,000
  • Married for more than 3 years
